Bringing the arts to life for more than 10 million students since 1969. California State PTA and its members, families and kids are on the forefront of this amazing program, which increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education.
Reflections encourages students of all ages to:

Tap into critical thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme

Categories and Divisions
All students attending PTA schools sponsoring the program are invited to participate and submit original artwork in one of six areas:
Students submit their original works of art in one or all of the available arts categories and participate in the appropriate division for their grade:
Primary (Pre-K - Grade 2)
Intermediate (Grades 3-5)
Middle School (Grades 6-8)
High School (Grades 9-12)
Accessible Arts* (All grades welcome)
*Students who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504 may enter in the Accessible Arts division or grade division most closely aligned to their support needs.
Submission Deadlines
Student Submission to School: *Mid-October (*Check with your school’s Reflections’ Chair)
School Submission Deadline to Council: November 1, 2025
Council Submission to First District: December 1, 2025
First District PTA Submission to California State PTA: January 2026
CAPTA Submission to National PTA: February 2026
